Dancing in the Moonlight
Let music help you drop into deep healing under the moon (or rain) (or snow???) in the transcendently beautiful Squamish outdoors
About
Dancing in the Moonlight is an essential opportunity for people who just know they need to dance, to come together for an evening of deep inner connection with music and nature.
- Every Tuesday we'll meet at 6:30 to find our spot and get settled in, music goes from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Community and connection after that as we find our way home.
- The music will be specifically chosen and curated each week to be VERY funky, fun and uplifting -- with lots of juicy rhythms and beats so you can't help but move your body.
- We all commit to respect the land, and each other. Leave no trace.
- Rain or shine—come prepared with layers, and if necessary, discover how much fun it is to dance with an umbrella!
- Costumes, thematic fashion and fun attire are highly encouraged to enhance the experience!
Guidelines
We are here to create a respectful, inclusive, and joyful experience. Please keep the following in mind:
- Optional, responsible and reverent use of legal entheogens such as cannabis and mushrooms are encouraged for enhancing this deep inner music-led journey. Not an alcohol type event.
- Please, no talking during the dancing—let the music and movement lead you. Chatting can happen later!
- Carpool or use sustainable transportation if you can.
- Feel free to bring twinkle lights, glow toys, snacks and whatever else feels good to share.
Location
Location will change each week and that's part of the adventure! In or near Squamish. We may need to hike in a short ways. Details will be shared the day of the event.
We are incredibly grateful to live and dance on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil'wat People, known in their language as Lil̓wat7úl, the Coast Salish and Squamish People, known in their language as Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and the Tsleil-Waututh & Musqueam First Nations.
